The delegation arrived in Washington, D.C., and Johnny Park, Kenji Sawai, Suzanne Scholte, and Soon Steele welcomed the delegation at the airport and took them to their accommodations. Thank you to those who provided transportation for the delegation. Also, thank you to Esther Kim and Yu-Sook Kim for thoughtfully preparing welcome gift bags for the delegation. On Friday afternoon, the delegation took time to rest and review their schedule for the North Korea Freedom Week (NKFW).
Saturday, April 25
North Korea Freedom Coalition Welcome Dinner
The delegation took a day to rest and adjust to the time difference while preparing their testimonies for the upcoming events and meetings. In the evening, the delegation attended a welcome dinner hosted by the North Korea Freedom Coalition. Thank you to Johnny Park, Kenji Sawai, and Suzanne Scholte for taking the delegation to the welcome dinner. Also, thank you to Esther Kim for organizing the welcome dinner. Lastly, thank you to Jason West for making NKFW badges for the delegation and its support team. During the welcome dinner, each member of the delegation had the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves, share their commitment to advancing freedom for their homeland, and engage in fellowship with coalition members.
